The plot is not bad, but there are a lot of grammar mistakes throughout this story. The author's writing style is somewhat awkward as well - and he consistently refers to his characters as "the man" or "the woman" instead of referring to them by name making this book a very frustrating read.

A good storyline with engaging characters. The ending was a bit abrupt - why do some authors write a good story, only to zap it all together in such a hurry? 26.03.2021

This is kind of what I imagine a cross between Ghost Whisperer and Criminal Minds would look like, even though there are no actual ghosts involved. The mystery is tense and suspenseful. The characters, complex yet somewhat whimsical. And the paranormal aspects of the story are surprisingly low key. I loved getting this look into Whit’s life and following along as he and his assistant Anna investigated the disappearances. They kept me guessing to the very end. I can’t wait to read more about these characters. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
