The plot is not bad, but there are a lot of grammar mistakes throughout this story. The author's writing style is somewhat awkward as well - and he consistently refers to his characters as "the man" or "the woman" instead of referring to them by name making this book a very frustrating read.

Dead On Time by WL Knightly Unconventional Truth Series Book One A new mystery series well crafted by WL Knightly. All the intrigue a reader could ask for including a cult of the Iron Covent in a small town in Texas. An FBI agent has called upon a college Professor Filmore to use his former police detective investigative techniques and his strong empath sensitivities to track down two missing college girls. The Professor brings along his college Class Assistant Anna who is trying to test her own empathic sensitivities. This is an engaging read for lovers of crime mysteries. Anxious for the next book! This is kind of what I imagine a cross between Ghost Whisperer and Criminal Minds would look like, even though there are no actual ghosts involved. The mystery is tense and suspenseful. The characters, complex yet somewhat whimsical. And the paranormal aspects of the story are surprisingly low key. I loved getting this look into Whit’s life and following along as he and his assistant Anna investigated the disappearances. They kept me guessing to the very end. I can’t wait to read more about these characters. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
