TV sci-fi had not yet become mainstream so he had to make do with Lost in Space and Gerry Anderson's puppet shows, only allowed to enjoy the Hammer House of Horror when he was a little older.
Joining the local library introduced him to the worlds of Andre Norton, James Blish, Isaac Asimov and Arthur C Clarke, among others.
Now a lifelong devotee of sci-fi and fantasy he revels in the success of the genres and their growth over the last twenty five years and decided to add his own voice to the multitude with the Agent Wolf series.
