About this ebook

My name is Demon. I'm a good boy. I'm a good boy because my human, Emily, tells me so.

One day, terrible lightning and thunder comes to Polema, and even more terrible things follow in its wake. Normally when storms come, the humans are not scared and comfort me.

This time they are terrified.

So now its me who has to be brave. I will protect my human, and I will be a good boy. No matter how scary the thunder or the monsters are.

A short story set in the Universe of War, twelve years before the events of Symphony of War: The Polema Campaign.

This author has short story authorship game up the ying yang. From start to finish I was engaged. From the very moment I read the first word this book took off! When this book dropped me back off into reality I just wanted to go back and immerse myself in that world he created once again, with those amazing characters, and with that compelling story.

The setting of Polema is vividly depicted, with the storm serving as a catalyst for both external and internal conflicts. The narrative effectively conveys the sense of unease and disruption brought about by the storm, creating a backdrop of tension that enhances the story’s emotional impact.

This is my first time reading a story told through a pet animal's point of view, and I have to say it's refreshing. I'd like it to be longer, but hey, author mentioned more of his books out there and I think I'm going to try reading some more of them.

About the author

I've always been thinking of stories for as long as I've been alive. I have way, way, way too many to tell and far too little time to tell them.

It was only in 2011 that I actually started shaping and weaving those random, jumbling, chaotic masses of thoughts into coherent narratives and began self-publishing.

I write a little science fiction, a little fantasy, a little humour and comedy, and a few other things all over the place.
