It was an interesting read that somehow kept me coming back for more. I found myself rooting for Mike and his wayward ways. I liked his prequel of Mike's Navy and wished I could find the 2nd and 3rd novels. It's very hard to find this authors complete work for the Mike Claymore character, so if you're like me and just have to read everything, then you will be hard pressed to do so.

Driving along with Mike Claymore in the cab of his truck I see the beautiful scenery of Alberta and British Columbia. You meet some real people with their faults and shortcoming. Cheating on his cheating wife. Meeting old buddies and friends. Wouldn't you want to live there? Having faith in the innocence of his old pardner he keeps on digging. You have to read the complete story to unravel the crime. Too bad i couldn't but just enjoyed the travelling on the highways. The description of the scenery the intermingling with the girlfriends. I myself travelled through the area by bus and train. Canada a great country.

It was different, that's for sure. Not great but not bad. It was a nice break from my usual. Held my interest good enough. No regrets.
