Born in Silver Spring, Maryland and currently lives in Germantown, MD. Gladys Muturi is an actress, writer, producer, and filmmaker. Gladys started acting at the age of eleven in her first play at Montgomery Village Middle School and continued pursuing acting. In the eleventh grade, she entered a Christopher Columbus state essay and won the contest. It became the first writing experience. She has adapted and written White Mama, based on a novel by Robert C.S. Downs, and plans to produce a theatrical performance for White Mama. Also, she plans to film a documentary called BLACKFACE and A Writer's Life. She is currently writing a one-act play Boys Like Us.
