born in the second last decade of the twentieth century in Madras city and spent
most of his life living his little dreams even if it was to take some adverse risks. A
daringly stupid decision taken by him at ten could have torn his life apart, but the
good Lord has been so loving and caring to him thus bringing him this far. The
memoir takes you through his life journey in the boarding school located in
central Madras which is meant for the Anglo-Indian boys. The memoir elucidates
how spending one’s childhood in the midst of innovative, creative, passionate,
and dedicated educators can help the child for lifetime. The simple usage of
language is to portray the honest narration of all the experiences among the
boarders and day scholars in St. Bede’s Anglo-Indian Higher Secondary School.
The memoir is a treat for the Bedeans of all times and for all those who love their
schools, their childhood, and their loved ones.

Out of the 23 years of Professional experience on Daniel’s shoulders 4 years was
dedicated to teaching in schools and training in corporate world. He picked up a
graduation in business administration and went on to complete masters in English to
support his passion in teaching English. Daniel went one step ahead to elevate his
passion towards teaching by completing a TESOL – Teaching English to Speakers of
Other Languages so that he could teach English as a language in schools as opposed to
subject. His experience in schools, the time spent amidst kids rekindled his passion
towards writing which was a parked on the attic after a failed publishing attempt in his
twenties. Daniel’s first work after a long break was a short story “The scientist who
found god”, which was published on Amazon in 2021 which received a mixed response
and quite good for a start. A gentle dabble into his passion fetched him a positive
response that triggered the writer in him which gave birth to his first Memoir – “Dan’s
Den” and now he is contemplating to go on a writing spree.
