For a first book, I thought this was really good, and it's definitely worth the money. I got sucked into the book really quickly. However, I think the author could have done another once-over on some of the prose, and I think the pacing in a couple areas could have been slowed down to make the character writing more effective. Also, MAN what an opening line. Really swung for the fences with that hook, haha. And after you finish this, Mr Daniel Greene has some really great book reviews on his channel, he really knows what he's talking about (for the most part, haha).

I have only two complaints. One, it's way too easy to lose track of characters. Who's speaking, who's where, who's narrating. Stuff like that. Two, the length. This book was way to short. It's painful that the story stops so quickly and many to most of my lesser problems could have probably(?) been fixed by adding 20ish pages. But other than that I think Greene has accomplished exactly what he set out to with this piece. I hunger for understanding. Much like the Inspectors of the story, I have found a mystery that has become an itch I won't be able to scratch untill Greene writes more! Dang it Goblin, why have you done this to me?!
