What do you do when your husband is a beloved football superstar who is trying to get an insurance settlement in exchange for your demise?

You get kidnapped by a well-meaning family friend you knew nothing about. Then you’re forced to run away when he fails to show up again. You might even dance in questionable strip clubs so you can stay under the radar and survive another day.

That is exactly the path that I took, only in the end, it not only led me to a motorcycle club in the Dakotas but to a family I never knew I had.

I’m not sure if I trust them to keep me safe or sane. Rage, their vice president, is the first man to gain my interest in a long time, and he blows so hot and cold that I’m not sure if I should stick around.
