धना...तरुण पहिलवान. सर्जेराव या तालेवाराच्या मुलीवर राजलक्ष्मीवर प्रेम. धनावर वाघाचा हल्ला. गंभीर जखमी अवस्थेत धना वाघाला ठार मारतो. इस्पितळात उपचार घेत असताना त्याचं एका देशप्रेमी गुप्त फौजेकडून अपहरण. देशसेवेसाठी धनाला फौजेचं राजेपद देण्याची तयारी; मात्र त्याने घराचा आणि राजलक्ष्मीचा त्याग करण्याची अट. इकडे वनखात्याचा अधिकारी सूर्याजी गावात दाखल. सूर्याजीचं राजलक्ष्मीवर प्रेम; पण धनाच्या आणि तिच्या प्रेमाबाबत समजल्यावर त्या दोघांना एकत्र आणण्याचा निश्चय. धनाबाबत आणि त्या गुप्त फौजेबाबत सगळ्यांना कुणकुण लागते. फौजेची गुप्तता धोक्यात येते. त्यामुळे राजलक्ष्मी आणि सूर्याजीला संपवण्याचा फौजेचा निर्णय.
त्यानंतर राजलक्ष्मीचं अपहरण. राजलक्ष्मीचं अपहरण कुणी आणि का केलेलं असतं? सूर्याजी त्या दोघांना एकत्र आणण्यात यशस्वी होतो का? सर्जेराव आणि सूर्याजीला फौजेचा ठावठिकाणा लागतो का? त्यांना धनाबाबतचे सत्य समजते का? या प्रश्नांची उत्तरं जाणून घेण्यासाठी ‘धना’ ही उत्कंठावर्धक कादंबरी जरूर जरूर वाचली पाहिजे.
