Anne-Marie changes her name and hops a train to Golden, CO to escape her abusive ex-fiancé and marry the man she has been corresponding with as a mail-order bride. Carter is a hard-working, broken-hearted rancher who suddenly finds not only a baby on his doorstep, but a mail-order bride waiting for him in town. I enjoyed reading about how these two damaged people make a marriage between them work, plus form a family with the baby left in their care, while dealing with the abusive ex-fiancé and couple of other surprises. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is the third book of the Bachelors & Babies series. Enjoyed Carter and his tale of surprise and love. Ebook from author with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.

really enjoyed the descriptive parts. about life on an ranch during this time period!

About the author

Cynthia Woolf is the award-winning and best-selling author of forty-one historical western romance books and two short stories with more books on the way. She has also published six scifi, space opera romances, which she calls westerns in space. Along with these books she has also published four boxed sets of her books.

Cynthia loves writing and reading romance. Her first western romance Tame A Wild Heart, was inspired by the story her mother told her of meeting Cynthia's father on a ranch in Creede, Colorado. Although Tame A Wild Heart takes place in Creede that is the only similarity between the stories. Her father was a cowboy not a bounty hunter and her mother was a nursemaid (called a nanny now) not the ranch owner.

Cynthia credits her wonderfully supportive husband Jim and her great critique partners for saving her sanity and allowing her to explore her creativity.
