About this ebook

When Antonio Cruz, the powerful new leader of San Francisco's Panther shifters, meets outcast Solana Perez in a dark alley, their passion lights up the night.

He senses that she is his mate, but her position as a non-shifter—a Panther who cannot change forms—means he can never claim her. Rejected by the Pride long ago, Solana knows she's untouchable for a Pride leader, knows that she has no place among her kind. She tries to resist her craving for him, but their chemistry is undeniable, challenging Pride laws and Antonio's leadership.

As rival Panthers sense weakness, Antonio faces an impossible choice: reject Solana to maintain order, or risk everything for a love that defies shifter tradition. In a world where passion clashes with duty and shifter politics turn deadly, Antonio and Solana's forbidden romance could be their salvation—or their downfall.

Note: this story was originally published as part of the On the Prowl anthology.

Claim Me is the first book in the On The Prowl series. The title is the storyline, but does not explain the struggle for Antonio and Solano to get there. Themes of biases, judgmentalism, and prejudices is very prominent in the story. They are maddening in the paranormal world and the human world. The book would have been rated higher if they had not overlooked obvious explanations for Solana's issues. I received a free advance review copy, and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Loved the read. A non-shifter is the mate to the Alpha of the North America Panther pride. Whoa! Emotional? Yes. Is she stubborn? But of course, she is feline. Is He stubborn? Is stubborn and determined the same thing? Don't forget he is definitely a feral alpha. Great intro of cast of character including the intrusive past that still haunts the family. Antonio -Alpha. Enough said. A must read, could not put it down. I received a copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Intriguing and captivating book that drew me in from the start. Solana is a strong character who has had to depend solely upon herself since being outcast from her clan (panther shifter). She's independent, determined, strong willed, and smart but under it all she's also very lonely. Antonio is the new leader of his clan, since his father's passing. He has progressive ways of dealing with people and conflict that differ from how his father ran things. It's why he had been sent away 14 years prior to Argentina. These two complement eachother's strengths, though her inability to shift is a barrier that keeps them apart. There is a constant push/pull with their physical relationship, and Antonio's determination to find a solution that is agreeable to everyone. His best friend and beta is by his side through it all, and is his voice of reason when necessary. The climax of this story is both tense and intense, with emotions running high on all fronts. I was rooting for a HEA from the start.
