Conferences and conventions are one of the fastest growing areas of the events industry. This is a substantially important sector yet research into many dimensions is in its infancy. To reflect the sector’s international nature case studies and examples from different geographical regions are included throughout.

Judith Mair is a Senior Lecturer in Event Management at the University of Queensland, Australia. Her research interests lie in the areas of Events, particularly Business Events, Sustainable Tourism, Climate Change & Tourism, Consumer Behaviour in Tourism. She has published extensively on Events in high-quality academic journals.
