Informazioni su questo ebook

Comprehensive Medical Physics (2nd edition) will be an up-to-date multi-volume reference work, providing an entry-level, broad foundational overview to the literature for all scientists interested in medical physics. It will be particularly useful for graduate and post-graduate students of medical and biomedical physics and indispensable to all scholars in the interdisciplinary areas where medical physics is of utility. Advanced interactive features will be heavily exploited in the new edition, significantly increasing the practicality and learning outcomes for the modern-day reader for whom online usage is preferred. All core material will be thoroughly revised from previously, however the new edition will see a considerably increased emphasis on applications. In addition, machine learning has now become a ubiquitous presence in the field, and this will be fully reflected in the 2nd edition. Written and edited by leading scientists from across the globe who have evaluated and summarized the most important data published within the field, Comprehensive Medical Physics (2nd edition) will therefore be an invaluable addition to the reference library of those working within medical imaging, radiotherapy, physiology, biology, pharmacology, and the treatment of clinical conditions. - Contains approximately 200 articles written by global experts in medical physics. - Provides a one-stop, single source of information for students to return to again and again. - Articles provide the ideal foundational introduction to a topic, perfect for the student new to the area. - Highly broad in scope, enabling cross-referencing between different sections within a single work. - Articles are written directly with online reading in mind, enabling greater use of multimedia, and follow a clear template, promoting consistency throughout the work for the reader
