At school, Jeremiah's always in trouble for drawing during class and feels helpless and wimpy in the halls. But on the page, Jeremiah has Laugh Riot, a fearless character who helps him take revenge on his mean teachers and bullies in funny ways. Laugh Riot is everything Jeremiah isn't -- brave, cool, and able to fight back.
Then, one day, Jeremiah's least favorite teacher pushes him too far... and the next day, the teacher isn't in school because there was an accident that caused his house to catch fire. After this, Jeremiah starts to notice that the revenges he imagines for Laugh Riot are starting to come to life in very harmful ways.
Is it possible that Laugh Riot isn't staying on the page? And what happens if Laugh Riot starts to have a mind of his own?
The character Jeremiah's drawn might not be wimpy... but he might be evil.
