I may be going out a limb, but I find the Carpathian appendix's, annoying and unnecessary. It was in what the last ten stories? More? It detracts from the storyline. Its as if its an attempt to pad the price. Waited a long time for Skyler and Dimitri's story, only to have Skyler turn out to be a 'typical' heroine. Story was okay, but not spectacular. However, the teasers are always welcome. I have already suspected that Zev and Branaslavia were lifemates from when they met in Dark Lycan.

Dark Wolf read as if a ghost writer had written most sections and then Feehan came in later to link the scenes together with her own unique touches. Is someone else penning part of this series? There was no relationship built here, it just appeared and left me feeling confused, as if I should already know that Skylar and Dimitri are a Happily Ever After couple. And why does Skylar have very few emotional problems despite her horrific past? No great details as to how she was fixed other than her and Dimitri "talked" and now she's miraculously cured. The choice of words for the young characters like Paul and Skylar sound more like a 90yo was speaking: "Box your ears"; "birthday suit". And how can a 19yo human girl dupe her legendary relatives Lucian and Gabriel since she lies to them to save the day? This is the last Dark book for me. The plot(s) doesn’t have enough variety to hold my interest any longer and like most series, this is just another one where an author took a great idea and kept writing, failing to realize when a great idea has finally gone bad.

This series has been getting repetitive and boring for a while now and I almost gave up on CF but I'm glad I decided to read this one. It's much better than the last couple of books. Please keep it up!
