About this ebook

Winner of the 2014 Bony Blithe Mystery Award.

Anna Nolan discovers her ex-husband, Jack, on a deserted country road one night ‒ dead, unfortunately. He could only have been in town to see Anna, unless Jack was looking for their son, Ben. At least, that’s how the tall, cool Brit leading the police investigation sees it. To divert suspicion away from her son and herself, Anna delves into Jack’s personal life, only to discover that the actor had been romancing three very different women on a nearby film set. With some rather unorthodox ideas on how to conduct a murder investigation, Anna sets about meeting her ex-husband’s lovers, with harrowing results!

". . . a true 'chiller thriller' that I couldn't put down!" - MysteryNet Review

"I seldom give five stars for a book but in this case I don't have another possibility. It's an absolutely brilliant story." - Goodreads Review

Story was okay (rating applies to story) but FYI formatting is dreadful. Need to zoom in on every page.

About the author

Always a voracious reader, Cathy Spencer cut her teeth on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Agatha Christie, Jane Austen, and Charlotte Brontë. She is married to a singer/actor/university teacher. He didn’t actually say “Marry me and see Canada” when he proposed, but that’s practically what happened. They have lived on the west coast in Vancouver, on the east coast in St. John’s, in Calgary, and are currently living in Ontario.

Cathy writes both romance and mystery novels. Framed for Murder, winner of the 2014 Bony Blithe Mystery Award, is the first in the Anna Nolan series, a cozy mystery/romantic suspense with an amateur sleuth set in the Rocky Mountain Foothills of Alberta. The second novel, Town Haunts, takes place at Halloween, while the third, Tidings of Murder and Woe, is set at Christmas. Cathy has also written a regency romance entitled The Affairs of Harriet Walters, Spinster, a contemporary romance called The Dating Do-Over, as well as two short story collections, Tall Tales Twin-Pack, Mysteries and Tall Tales Twin-Pack, Science Fiction and Fantasy. Watch for the release of her second regency romance, The Marriage Market.
