About this ebook

In tribal warfare, trust’s a measured risk. Betrayal, a certain death.

Within the tribes, some truths lie too deep to be unearthed. Fionn, the young Clann Baoiscne warrior knows this, even as he and Bodhmhall hunt the truth behind his father’s slaughter.

Meanwhile, abandoned to the wilderness, the woman warrior Liath Luachra must overcome past injuries and traumas to face another encroaching enemy.

As the ruthless Clann Morna tribe draw closer, and unseen forces conspire against him, Fionn quickly learns that alliances are fragile, and betrayal ever close to hand. Confronting the dark truth about his past, he also learns that although blood runs deep, treachery runs deeper.

FIONN: The Betrayal is a thrilling journey into the heart of Irish legend and a pulse-pounding adventure in a land where tribes, druids, and chieftains clash for family — and survival.

About the author

Brian O'Sullivan was born in county Cork, Ireland. On completing a degree at University College Cork, he went on to travel extensively. Now based in New Zealand, he runs a small publishing company (Irish Imbas Books) with his family but returns to Ireland on a regular basis. Updates on his writing and articles on aspects of Irish culture, can be found at the Irish Imbas Books website or through his monthly newsletter (Irish Imbas Substack).

Brian writes fiction that incorporates strong elements of Irish culture, language, history and 'mythology'. These include contemporary versions of the Fionn mac Cumhaill/ Fenian legends (The 'Fionn mac Cumhaill Series' and the 'Irish Woman Warrior Series'), mystery thrillers (The Beara Trilogy/ The Beara Series) and literary short stories (The Irish Muse collection etc.). Brian also produces non-fictional content to help explain the fundamentals of 'Irish mythology'.

Although he writes predominantly for an Irish audience, Brian's unique style and plotting twists, his attention to cultural and historical accuracy, and his humour have made his books firm favourites for readers around the world.

The sixth book in the Fionn mac Cumhaill Series (Fionn: The Betrayal) will be released in the first quarter of 2025.
