关于此电子书

An eight-year-old Indian child is dead. The innocent boy’s death is cruel, torturous, and most of all, needless. Jeremiah Tiger, the chief of the Kialegee Tribe, is now faced with the realization that he must fight for his impoverished tribe against the State of Oklahoma and the wealthy and influential Muscogee Nation.

The battle is seemingly unwinnable. The once fierce warriors of the Kialegee Tribe are now oppressed and living in squalor.

Jeremiah’s only option for securing a future for his tribe is to develop a tract of land in Broken Arrow that the Muscogee Nation claims to have ownership of.

Jeremiah seeks the help of the bold and tenacious attorney, Pierce Evangelista, to prove the Kialegee Tribe’s treaty rights to the land. Evangelista suspects that a small tribe, like the Kialegee, will struggle to withstand the blowback and the unscrupulous and illegal tactics of Oklahoma politicians, the Muscogee Nation, and the Bureau of Indian Affairs to maintain the status quo.

Jeremiah and Pierce take on the State of Oklahoma and federal government in a series of legal battles. Together, they fight to protect the Kialegee tribe as they face legal, unethical, and life-threatening conflicts, the outcome of which will affect many people for generations to come.
