Botanical Entrepreneurship

Priya Lokare is an Asst. Professor of Botany at Loknete Ramdas Patil Dhumal Arts, Science & Commerce College, Rahuri, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, India, 413705. She has completed her M.Sc. Botany from S. P. Pune University Pune, Maharashtra, India.  She is having fond of Botany and is always interested in doing something creative and fruitful.  Priya has been published thirteen research papers and one book chapter.  She has seven years of teaching experience with undergraduate and postgraduate level students.  Apart from this, she has published five books, including that, she has participated in many States, National, and international level seminars and conferences and presented research papers.  She has completed a one-month Induction Programme held at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune from 12th Nov-8th Dec 2018.  She has also completed ten days FDP Programme at Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune, on the ‘Biodiversity and Chemical Ecology’ from 20th Feb. to 29th Feb. 2020.  She has attended various online webinars, training programs, courses, and conferences. She received the Glantor-X Nation Choice Award for best research scholar in 2021.

Dr. Kamal Kant Patra is a Research cum Teaching professional who has worked with Botanical Survey of India- CRC-Allahabad; DRDO-Defense Institute of Bio-Energy Research-UK, and CSIR-National Botanical Research Institute-UP, India. Dr. Patra has been engaged with different Private Universities in India as an Associate Professor, Subject Matter Expert, Counselor, Motivator, and Inventor in the Faculty of Life Science. He received his Ph.D. (Botany) from Magadh University- Bihar in 2018. He has research experience of more than ten years of in the various field of Life Sciences as Plant Physiology & Biochemistry, Molecular Biology & Biotechnology, Microbiology, Ecology & Environmental Biology, Plant Pathology, Reproductive Biology, Stress Biology, Phytoremediation, Value Added Product Development, Drug Discovery, Plant Taxonomy, Lichenology, Pharmacognosy, etc. He has presented many research papers related to Botany and its different branches at international and national levels with Springer, Taylor & Francis. He has made outstanding contributions in Biofuel, Biothreat Mitigation, Hypoxia at Higher Altitude, Germplasm Multiplication at Multi-location Trail, Livelihood Enrichment Program Anti-tick Herbal formulation, and Plant Growth Promoting Bacteria for the Nation and Mankind. He is a recipient of the DRDO-Research Fellowship from the Ministry of Defense, Government of India. He has been awarded as BSI-JRF (2010), Uttarakhand Science Congress Award (2015), DST Young Scientist Award (2016), CSIR Young Scientist Award (2017), IISF Expert Award (2018). He also has more than ten membership credits at the international and national levels.
