इस पुस्तक में भोजपुरी फिल्मोग्राफी और इंडेक्स शामिल है, जो पहली फिल्म से 90 के दशक के अंतक की तमाम जानकारी समेटे है। ये काम जितना आसान लगता है, उतना है नहीं। पत्र-पत्रिकाओं में इनकी सामग्री नहीं मिलती थी, ना कहीं रिकॉर्ड उपलब्ध थे। सरकारी, गैर-सरकारी और निजी संस्थाओं में भी नहीं थे। लेखक ने दर्जनों जगहों से सारे विवरण जुटा कर बरसों की गोर तपस्या से यह किताब तैयार की है। फिल्म-उद्योग पत्रिका “ट्रेड गाईड‘’ का भी गहन सहयोग मिला। पुस्तक के दोनों हिस्से यानी “इंडेक्स” और “फिल्मोग्राफी” संकलित हुए हैं।

भोजपुरी फिल्मों के साथ दूसरी बोलियों मगही, मैथिली, अवधी, ब्रजभाषा, बुंदेली, मालवी, छत्तीसगढ़ी, गढ़वाली, कुमाऊनी, राजस्थानी तथा उनसे निकली नेपाली भाषा की पहली फिल्म से सन 1999 तक बनी फिल्मों का इंडेक्स भी इस पुस्तक में शामिल है।

यह शोध कार्य शिक्षा संस्थानों तथा शोधार्थियों के लिए बहुत ही उपयोगी है।

Bhojpuri Filmography Aur Film Index

This book encompasses a comprehensive Bhojpuri filmography and index, detailing information from the first Bhojpuri film up to the late 1990s. Compiling this information was a challenging task, as the relevant material was not readily available in newspapers, magazines, or any records in governmental, non-governmental, or private institutions. The author spent years gathering information from numerous sources to prepare this book. Significant support came from the film industry magazine “Trade Guide.” The book includes both the “Index” and “Filmography” sections.

In addition to Bhojpuri films, the book also features an index of films made in other dialects such as Magahi, Maithili, Awadhi, Brajbhasha, Bundeli, Malvi, Chhattisgarhi, Garhwali, Kumaoni, Rajasthani, and Nepali, covering productions up to 1999. This research is invaluable for educational institutions and researchers.
