Nibaran Das received his B.Tech degree in Computer Science and Technology from Kalyani Govt. Engineering College under Kalyani University, in 2003. He received his M.C.S.E degree from Jadavpur University, in 2005. He received his Ph. D.(Engg.) degree thereafter from Jadavpur University, in 2012. He joined Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India as an Assistant Professor in 2006. His areas of current research interest are OCR of handwritten text, optimization techniques, machine learning and image processing. He has been an editor of Bengali monthly magazine “Computer Jagat” since 2005. He has published around 85 research papers in international journals and conference proceedings. He was the one of the organizing chairs of International Conference of RETIS-15 and convener of National Conference RETIS-06. He was the one of the co-editors of the conference proceedings of ReTIS-15, ReTIS-08 and ReTIS-06. Dr. Das is a member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), USA and Executive committee member of IEEE young professional affinity group and computer Chapter, Kolkata Section. He is a life member of Computer Society of India, Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE).
Debotosh Bhattacharjee received the Master of Computer Science and Engineering and the Ph. D(Engineering) degrees from Jadavpur University, India, in 1997 and 2004 respectively. He was associated with different institutes in various capacities until March 2007. After that, he joined his Alma Mater, Jadavpur University. Currently, he is working as a full professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering there. His research interests pertain to the applications of computational intelligence techniques like Fuzzy Logic, Artificial Neural Network, Genetic Algorithm, Rough Set Theory in Face Recognition, Gait Analysis, Hand Geometry Recognition, Histopathological Image Analysis and Biomedical imaging. Anirban Mukherjee did his Bachelors in Civil Engineering in 1994 from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. While in service he achieved a professional Diploma in Operations Management (PGDOM) in 1998 and completed his PhD on ‘Automatic Diagram Drawing based on Natural Language Text Understanding’ from Indian Institute of Engineering, Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur in 2014. Serving RCC Institute of Information Technology (RCCIIT), Kolkata since inception (in 1999), he is currently an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Engineering Science & Management at RCCIIT. Before joining RCCIIT he served as an Engineer in the Scientific & Technical Application Group in erstwhile RCC, Calcutta for 6 years. His research interest includes Computer Graphics, Computational Intelligence, Optimization and Assistive Technology. He has co-authored two UG engineering textbooks: one on ‘Computer Graphics and Multimedia’ and another on ‘Engineering Mechanics’. He has also co-authored more than 18 books on Computer Graphics/Multimedia for distance learning courses BBA/MBA/BCA/MCA/B.Sc (Comp. Sc.)/M.Sc (IT) of different Universities of India.
