Der Autor legt mit diesem Buch eine Interpretation sowohl der formal- als auch der transzendentallogischen Aussagen Kants zu Begriffen vor. Durch eine textnahe Interpretation unter Berücksichtigung des handschriftlichen Nachlasses weist die Studie nach, dass die Handlungen der Komparation, Reflektion und Abstraktion darin bestehen, eine Vorstellung als Erkenntnisgrund zu verwenden. Diese Interpretation wird mit Kants These verknüpft, dass die synthetische Einheit der Apperzeption der höchste Punkt sei, an den man selbst die formale Logik heften müsse. In Hinblick auf die transzendentale Logik diskutiert der Autor die Entsprechung der Kategorien und Urteilsfunktionen und weist nach, dass die Gültigkeit der Kategorien sich auf das Mannigfaltige einer Anschauung überhaupt erstreckt und nicht auf sinnliche Anschauung eingeschränkt ist.
