Bedside

In the past four decades, she has spent her professional life at many a patient’s bedside. The wonderful experience of caring and helping many people is priceless to her. The desire to put information into the hands of anyone who will need care, or their loved ones who may need care, is the reason for this book. She found, over the years, that many people need some basic understanding of what goes on behind the scenes of hospitals, nursing homes, and home care situations. The author has experience in all of these backgrounds. Her wish is that you use this book as a basic information guide for yourself and pass its message on to anyone you know that may have need of it. Also the author wishes to let the reader know that whoever cares for you, or your family, must be held responsible. Responsibility starts at the top of the administration and goes all the way to the housekeeping staff. The care of anyone who needs it is really all of our responsibility. Knowledge of the basic function of the care at the bedside is a must in today’s changing healthcare picture. Without the basic knowledge of bedside care, we are left only wondering what is needed at the bedside.
