This is not only the most thorough compilation of great advice for life in dentistry but possibly for any endeavor. Barry Polansky is one of the most well-read people I know and he shares his search for meaning in our work in a most complete way. This book will go on my shelf as a book that references all the great minds that have tackled this topic. I have always enjoyed Barry's writing because as a clinical dentist he has been through all the phases of development and has done an exhaustive search for the right formula. The book is dense with information harvested from countless hours of research and contemplation and personal experience. I highly recommend it but don't expect to absorb it all at once since it is a work that was years in the making. Dentistry is lucky to have someone so passionate about writing and sharing knowledge. It is much like a great literature review or thesis on positive psychology in dentistry
