5 star Review On The Sweet Side (Wish #3) by Audrey Carlin Book three in the Wish series but you can read as a stand alone if you have not read the first two books. Having read the previous books in the series and after the way the second book ended, I was excited to see what Ms. Carlin had in store for Isabeau (Izzy) Collins, the newly found sister of Suda Kaye and Evie. Izzy is shocked and yet she yearns to learn more about her new family. Their appearance in her life could not have come at a more inopportune time as she is just about to open her custom cake shop. Now she is torn between getting to know her new family and the career she has worked so hard for. Deciding to visit Pueblo, Colorado to get to know her new sisters, this decision changes her life forever. When she finds a space that would be perfect for her bakery she meets contractor Kyson and his little girl who she is drawn to. As their relationship blossomed it was heartwarming to watch it develop. This was a beautifully written, entertaining story that will draw you in and keep you invested from the first chapter to the last. There were so many layers to this story that you cannot help but feel as though you are peeling an onion, one layer at a time. This is a wonderful story of love and family and one that got to me. The Native American heritage added an additional touch.

On the Sweet Side touched my heart in such a way that it brought new light to my soul and changed me forever! This story is such a breathtaking and inspirational journey that brings a whole new perspective on choices made, chasing dreams, love and life! Izzy is such a beautiful person inside and out and the joy and happiness she brings to everyone around her is amazing to witness. Her grandfather calls her angel and it’s perfect for her. Kyson is a stunning man who knows what he wants, and feels everything to his core. He is determined and loving in all that he does. This couple was abandoned in different ways and while it changed them, it made them into the best versions of themselves for their loved ones and especially each other. Oh how I wish I was Hope’s new mommy and I could bottle up all her sugary sweetness and share it with the world. You need to read this book for the best friend tattoos, the apartment, Jasper, the sugar cookies, Toko and his wisdom, the mermaid Barbie, the letters and Atlantic City alone. On the Sweet Side is exceptional storytelling and the sacrifice, never ending love and hope that cascades across the pages in such a magnificent way proves once again why Audrey Carlan’s stories stand out and are never forgotten. I am so in love with this series! This book is the third in the series but can be read as a standalone. After learning about Izzy at the end of book two, I could not wait to read this story to learn more about her! Raised by two dads, Izzy has always wondered about her mother. Luckily her dads were amazing and she had the best friend in Jasper. When her sisters show up out of the blue one day she decides it’s time to figure herself out and get to know her siblings. So Izzy and Jasper pack up and head to Pueblo, Colorado. Izzy and Jasper have had a dream to own their own bakery, so when the opportunity arises for them to have just that, they can’t pass it up. The old bakery will need some work to get things up and running, but luckily, her brother in law knows just the guy. When Izzy and Kyson meet, the sparks fly! Kyson is a pretty simple guy with a very complicated past. It takes awhile for Izzy to uncover all the secrets of Kyson, but when she finally does it just takes their relationship to a whole new level. Izzy is kind, caring, and just a beautiful soul. Combined with the passionate, strong, and determined Kyson, they’re a power couple you can’t help but fall in love with. I have really enjoyed reading this series. The loving bond of the family, learning about their heritage and seeing their relationships form has been amazing! You can’t help but feel like you’re a part of this story with the talent Audrey Carlan has. You are truly missing out if you don’t read this book. I would highly recommend starting with book one. You will not be disappointed.
