His journey as a poet commenced from his school life when he was just 12 years old and from then he has enriched a number of little magazines and books.
Besides creative writing he established a school named Vivekananda Adarsha Vidyapith in an underdeveloped area and engaged himself as a teacher. He always helps the poor students but his own life has faced many ups and downs. He is also working in the field of regional history.
Aurn Bhattacharya also works as an editor of 'Andhr-e Alo' little Magazine.
A modern Artist, according to Jackson Pollock '…is working with space and time and expressing his feelings rather than illustrating in this modern age when we are victim of cultural alienation poetry is the moving of communicate with nature and society. The communication is dynamic not only with living things but also with inanimate objects.’ This can be felt while reading Arun Bhattacharya. He also speaks in a convincing way. 'I can swear the death of night, even though you are at a distance.' We can also compare his ideas with Christopher Poindexter when he says, 'It is impossible to not be romantic with the world when we exist beneath is on and constantly make love to the horizon.' Arun Bhattacharya brings the idea of cultural democracy through his pen. Still the poet moves alone. He enjoys the power of loneliness. He says, ‘My poetry is working alone in the unmark river route.’ He is very strong to portray the man and harsh reality to its original colour.
