My name is Andre Wright and I will start by stating a fact; anything is possible. I'm 18 years old, and just finished my final year of high school. Five months before now, I had a dream and it spawned this world in my head. A world in which I was a character named Atrum, who did something risky. He took what was thought to be impossible in his world, and fought until he could achieve the impossible; living his dreams and making them real. Its that time in my life where I need to decide what direction I'm going. After writing this, I learnt that you have to pursue your passions and never look back. Memories are to be admired and mistakes are to be learnt from, not regretted. I did the titles of the chapters of Atrum's ongoing story in Latin. The translation of Atrum's full name , 'Atrum Lucis Divum', means "dark light sky", which is the place I tried to bring the story. I tried to make it dark and gritty, and seam a gripping fantasy story in with my message. Once I started writing, the story just grew and grew to places I never imagined it could go, which is where the name 'Divum' came into play. The story to me became as big as the sky. Every aspect of this story became a metaphor for an event in my life or just a meaningful lesson to decipher. I consider this story to not really be a book, but poetry. It is the introduction, and beginning of Atrum's life. It is not a full enough story to be a book but a refined prelude. The "light" refers to the spark in Atrum and bright future he will claim with his hands. This began as just a little project I wanted to do, but as I put more hours into it, people noticed. My friends and teachers not only noticed, but were surprised at the work I put into this outside school hours. Now I hope that this story means something to anyone who reads it and brings a smile to their face, and hopefully inspires them to do what they always dreamed.
