Reliability Assessment of Flow Networks and Industrial Systems: Bridging Theory and Applications

Dr. Amit Kumar is working as an Assistant Professor in the department of Applied Sciences, Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Maharashtra, India. He has done his Bachelors and Master’s form Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut, India, in 2006 and 2009 respectively. In 2016, he received his Doctorate in Applied mathematics (Reliability theory). He published 45+ research papers in various esteemed (Scopus, WOS etc.) international journals. He is a reviewer/editorial board member in many international journals. His fields of research are Operations Research, Reliability theory, Fuzzy Reliability, and System Engineering.

Prof. Mangey Ram received his Ph.D. in Mathematics (major) and Computer Science (minor) from the G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, India. He has been a faculty member for ca. 15 years and has taught several core courses in pure and applied mathematics at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate levels. He is currently a Research Professor at Graphic Era (deemed to be University), Dehradun, India and a Visiting Professor at Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, Saint Petersburg, Russia. He is Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Mathematical, Engineering, and Management Sciences; Journal of Reliability and Statistical Studies; Journal of Graphic Era University; Series Editor of six book series with Elsevier, CRC Press-A Taylor and Frances Group, Walter De Gruyter Publisher Germany, River Publisher and Guest Editor and Associate Editor for various journals. His fields of research are reliability theory and applied mathematics. Prof. Ram is a Senior Member of the IEEE, Senior Life Member of the Operational Research Society of India, the Society for Reliability Engineering, Quality and Operations Management in India, the Indian Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics. He is a member of the organizing committee of several international and national conferences, seminars, and workshops. He was conferred the “Young Scientist Award by the Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology, Dehradun, in 2009, and given the “Best Faculty Award in 2011; “Research Excellence Award in 2015; and “Outstanding Researcher Award in 2018 for his significant contributions in academics and research at Graphic Era (deemed to be University), Dehradun, India. Most recently, he received the "Excellence in Research of the Year-2021 Award from the Honourable Chief Minister of the Uttarakhand State, India.

Majid Forghani-elahabad is an Assistant professor of Applied Mathematics at the Federal University of ABC. He received his B.Sc. and M.S. degrees in Applied Mathematics in 2005 and 2008, respectively, and his Ph.D. degree in Operations Research in 2014. He was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Sao Paulo and the Federal University of ABC in Brazil, and a lecturer at the Sharif University of Technology and several other universities in Iran. He is an Editorial member of four international journals. He has been a reviewer of more than twenty international journals, including Reliability Engineering & System Safety, Computers & Industrial Engineering, and Expert Systems with Applications. He is currently working on system reliability, network optimization, and optical networks.
