About this ebook

When life goes wrong, Melanie Baker leaves the only world she’s ever known. In her escape she receives help from an unlikely source; from the kind of man she’s only seen in cheesy romance movies. Could he be her knight in shining armor, or is he just another frog with fly breath?

Melanie Baker’s life is perfect: dream job, engaged to a successful lawyer her family adores, a great apartment in New York City, and the best four-legged friend a girl could want. But in an instant her world is turned upside down when she is fired from her job and comes home to find her fiancé in bed with another woman. To get away from it all, she decides to take a road trip to visit to her best friend. A 1,200 mile drive to Texas should give her plenty of time to figure out what to do next. Then on the last leg of her journey her car dies only a few miles from her final destination. Could things get any worse?

A handsome cowboy comes to her rescue supplying an unlikely light in Melanie’s life. He provides a glimmer of hope and make her question if the life she had is really the life she needs to make her happy. Or is it all a lie?

Hold on to your hats for this sweet and clean Cowboys of Sunnydale romance. This is a standalone western romance novel with cowboys, horses, cows, and fish out of water trope.

I had a great time with this cowboy falls fora city girl. Melanie’s life as she knows has fallen apart and she decides to visit her friend but before she gets there trouble follows by way of a broken down vehicle. Pete is her savior in more ways than one. The storyline flowed smoothly keeping me entertained. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Melanie is having a bad day. She learns her position at work has been terminated and then, she arrives home to find her boyfriend in bed with the neighbor girl. She’s on her way to visit her best friend, Delilah, and her car runs out of gas in Sunnydale. Luckily, Pete is driving by and gives her a ride, along with her one-eyed dog, Benny. Delilah lives in San Antonio, but her hometown is Sunnydale, so Pete gets his chance to see Melanie again. I won’t leave any spoilers, but I will say this story has some wonderful characters and you may shed a few tears. I hope we will get to read Delilah’s story in the future. About the author

I spend my daylight hours working as a large animal veterinarian. In the evening, I escape to imaginary worlds that reside in my mind. Writing is a fun way to use the creative side of my brain versus the analytical, doctor side. I love to write about strong heroines that overcome adversary to fall in love with handsome men. I love writing sweet and clean contemporary cowboy romances!

When I am not  working or writing, I can be found reading and spending time with the love of my life and our two Dachshunds.  If we aren’t in the house, we are working cows together or riding our horses across open fields.
