About this ebook

In the heart of London’s dazzling society, Rosanna Hempel seems to have it all—a doting father, a promising future as the heiress to the family business, and the adoration of a charming suitor. Her life is a flawless portrait of privilege and potential—until a single fateful moment in the park shatters her world. The lord who vowed her everything abandons her, leaving her only hope in the hands of the infuriating man next door, the bland, boring bank clerk, Phineas Babbage.

Phineas, weary of his mundane life on Honeysuckle Street, dreams of escape and new beginnings. Yet, when he stumbles upon a distraught Rosanna Hempel, he finds himself ensnared in a web of passion, peril and wallpaper choices. His quest to unravel the mystery of his lost love intertwines with his unexpected enchantment with Rosanna, and as their sham marriage deepens, he must confront his own desires and fears.

Will they find common ground? Can they set aside their differences and solve the mystery, annul their sham marriage and return to their individual lives?

Because that’s what they both want.

Isn’t it?

This story has an interesting plot. There is a mystery (the fraud), secrets from the past, a most entertaining family dynamic, and a romance that tries as hard to fail as to succeed. There are some plot twists and surprises. It takes place on Honeysuckle Street, so there is a variety of engaging characters. An enjoyable story with a happy ending. I received a special copy of this book via BookSirens and voluntarily reviewed it.

This is a delightful book full of sweet and quiet moments, with a mystery to solve and a few twists and turns. Phineas is the definition of exasperated man. He delights in numbers and precision and Rosanna crashes into his world, upending his “perfect” life and decorating his dull house. If you like marriage of convenience, exasperated men, some laugh out loud moments and grumpy/sunshine this book is for you.

This third book in the Tales from Honeysuckle Street is a very engaging and well written enemy to lovers' age gap love story. It has so much drama, action, intrigue, suspense, and mystery, which includes an attempted ruin of a good name, threats, a sham marriage, lies, scandals, and plots, a ruined business, am attempted murder, a robbery, and so much more emotional issues that kept me highly entertained. The angst, wit, and delicious passion between the main characters were absolutely delightful. I enjoyed how past characters, including family and friends, made such an interesting and exciting romance. The ending was lovely. I highly recommend reading!
