About this ebook

We who are Asatru here in Norway didn't have a prayer book in Norwegian, so i created one. I translated the book to English since i know the market for such books are bigger in English speaking countries. Creating this Asatru prayer book has been a joyous journey, one which i hope many others will have when reading the Asatru prayers contained within this book. Just remember that with prayer comes an offering, either as a thanks or for granting you what you need. I am both confirmed and baptized in the Asatru, and now so can you. Confirmation is a ritual here in Scandinavia where kids around 14 years of age confirm their religion. And they do not have a monopoly on that ceremony.

About the author

I was born in the South of Norway, in the bible belt. I have been an Asatru since i was around five years old, but it was only when I was around 30 that I was Asatru publicly. Because when i was confirmation age, fourteen, i looked up Asatru groups in Norway. because i wanted to be confirmed in Asatru. Then i came across a very racist group called Vigrid, and i felt such shame that i ended up hiding my beliefs. Only when i was around 30 did i put on my very first Mjolnir necklace. Very few in my family accepted my religion, which led to me severing ties with many of them. Having been bullied and abused most of my life, the only thing that kept me here in Midgard all those years, are the Asir and Vanir. Not to mention my Fylgje and Hamingja. I pray to the Asir and Vanir that i can build a Hov and have a house one day, but i know my Wyrd. I hope to see the Asir, Vanir and my ancestors when i leave Midgard, and maybe i can find peace in Helheim.
