About the author
Biasa dipanggil Dayat Ilyas, lahir di Desa Petir, Tangerang, pada tahun 1960. Sejak 1984 hingga 2000 bekerja pada beberapa perusahaan percetakan dan periklanan, dan kini bekerja di Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang (UMT). Hingga saat ini telah aktif menulis beberapa buku, seperti Pantun Politik Betawi Pinggiran (2018), Syair-Syair Demokrasi Kopong (2020), dan Sastra Betawi pada Gambang Kromong Klasik (2021).
