The earliest registered civilization is probably the civilization of Cushitic speaking peoples spearheaded by ancient Egypt. The Oromo are of the Cushitic speaking stock. Missing links of that civilization are hoped to be found in the language and culture of the Oromo nation of East Africa. Ibsaa Guutama is a self publisher living in Maryland USA. So far he authored and published among others Special Oromo Dictionary and Prison of Conscience. The later is about his experience as political prisoner in Ethiopian empire during the years of communist military junta known as Darg. He had served as elementary school teacher and a civil servant in different positions before his exile in 1992. He was also imprisoned by present administration of Ethiopia for some months in the nineties.
