Prof. CA Abha Mathur is a distinguished Professor of Commerce at Satyawati College, University of Delhi. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant and holds multiple degrees, including B.Com. (Hons.), M.Com., PG Diploma in Business Management, Diploma in Computer Programming, and a PhD from the Department of Commerce, University of Delhi.
With an impressive career spanning 39 years, Prof. Mathur has accumulated 13 years of industry experience and 26 years of teaching experience. She began her career in 1982 as the Manager (Finance) at Pure Drinks, New Delhi Ltd., advancing to Head of Financial Operations in various private sector companies until March 1995. In July 1995, she transitioned to academia, joining the University of Delhi, where she has continued to merge academic and professional pursuits.
Prof. Mathur's academic contributions include developing content for the 'Tourism' paper of the BA Program Application course and serving as a Joint Coordinator. She was also the Paper Coordinator for 'Accounting for Managerial Decisions' for M.Com. Students in the e-PG Pathshala E-Portal for distance learning, where she reviewed 35 modules and contributed to 15 modules. Her teaching expertise extends to MBA institutes, ICAI, and various departments within the University of Delhi and the Delhi Technological University (DTU).
An active participant in the academic community, Prof. Mathur has presented 11 papers at national and international seminars and conferences and published 24 articles in leading journals. She has authored numerous books, including:

Prof. Mathur is also dedicated to social work. She serves as the Honorary Secretary of The Consumer Federation of India and Vice-Chairperson of the South Delhi Citizen's Council, an NGO focused on consumer and social causes. In recognition of her outstanding teaching contributions, she received the prestigious 'Best Teacher Award' from the Delhi Government in 2019. She has also served as the Coordinator of the IGNOU Centre at her college from March 2019 to December 2020 and has acted as the college's Principal on several occasions from 2017 to 2019.
