The book ‘Ashi Mane Ase Namune’ is great example of his understanding of human characters & their presentation in the literary form. He was born in a small farmer family of Aajra village in Kolhapur district in Maharashtra. He finished his school education in Vyankatrao High School Ajara. He worked with Rajaram Prashala, Kolhapur as a teacher for 20 years. During these glorious years of his life he came across various humorous personalities, we can meet them in this book.
इथं या पुस्तकाच्या रूपानं मी त्यांच्यावर लिहिलं आहे ते काहीच नव्हे एवढं त्यांच्यावर लिहिता येईल. यातील जवळजवळ प्रत्येक व्यक्तिरेखा ही स्वतंत्र कादंबरीचा विषय आहे. अनावृत्त आकाशाखाली रंगीबेरंगी वस्त्रांनी शरीरं आणि दुपेडी विचारांनी मनं झाकलेली वैâक माणसं प्रत्यही भेटत असताना आपण बघत आहोत. आज जगाचा चेहरामोहराच पुरता शेवाळी झाला आहे! म्हणूनच अनावृत्त आकाशाखाली अनावृत्त मनांनी भेटणारी सरळधोप माणसं आपली वाटतात. हवीहवीशी वाटतात. मी बेतलेली ही मने व चितारलेले हे नमुने हवेहवेसे वाटणारे नक्कीच आहेत. त्यांच्यातील काही खास लकबी, दोष हे मी लिहायला बसलो तेव्हा आता कुठं मला जाणवले. एरवी या नमुनेदार मनात मी वावरलो तेव्हा काही ते मला कधीच जाणवले नाहीत. आणि यातच माझ्या लेखी त्यांचं आगळेपण आहे आणि सच्चं माणूसपणही आहे.
