Acerca de este libro electrónico

Step into the extraordinary life of Abraham, the man Scripture calls the “Friend of God,” in this newly enhanced and annotated edition of Frederick Brotherton Meyer’s enduring classic: ABRAHAM: The Obedience of Faith.

From the moment Abraham hears the divine call in ancient Ur to his final resting place in the cave of Machpelah, his story unfolds as a powerful portrait of unwavering obedience, tested loyalty, and steadfast trust in the promises of Jehovah. Meyer’s timeless exposition brings this patriarch’s faith journey to life with deep reverence and scriptural insight—now refreshed and updated for a new generation of readers.

This edition features carefully revised language in modern American English, ensuring clarity without compromising the depth of Meyer’s original message. Spelling and grammar have been meticulously corrected, and the text has been lightly updated to reflect the latest historical insights from the biblical world. Bible quotations have been replaced with a more accurate modern translation to enhance accessibility while preserving the integrity of the biblical narrative.

Faithfully retaining every ounce of Meyer’s theological depth and spiritual warmth, this edition invites readers to walk alongside Abraham through every defining moment—from the offering of Isaac on Mount Moriah to the casting out of Hagar and Ishmael, and every step of obedience in between.

Published by Christian Publishing House in 2022, this edition serves as both a rich personal devotional resource and an excellent tool for group study. Whether you’re exploring Abraham’s journey for the first time or returning to it with fresh eyes, ABRAHAM: The Obedience of Faith will inspire you to pursue the same steadfast trust in the Everlasting God that marked one of history’s most remarkable lives of faith.
