Many a times, the criminal runs away skillfully. After a wait of many years, by sheer luck the evidences come forward and leave the police force in total amazement about the ideas used by the criminals. This book is a collection of such unprecedented events and ideas used by the criminals. Some of them have taken place in foreign lands. In the long run, we realise that whatever may be the country, the mixture of feelings is synchronised in the same way. The human being is possessed with the same lust, same feelings, same thoughts and same passions. So, naturally the nature of the crime remains the same devoid of the country and of course the anguish that the police force has to undergo is also the same.
मती गुंग करणा-या घटना, अधिकाधिक गुंतागुंत वाढवणारी परिस्थिती, गुन्ह्याच्या तळापर्यंत जाण्यासाठी करावी लागणारी प्रयत्नांची शर्थ या सा-या गोष्टी पोलिसांच्या पाचवीलाच पुजलेल्या असतात. कित्येकदा गुन्हा करुन गुन्हेगार हातावर तुरी देऊन नाहीसा होतो. कित्येक वर्षं वाट पाहिल्यावर त्याचे धागेदोरे हाती लागतात. गुन्ह्यापाठीमागे वापरलेल्या युक्त्या पोलिसांना अचंबित करतात. अशाच काही अभूतपूर्व घटनांचा हा संग्रह. यात परदेशातील काही घटनांवर आधारित कथाही अंतर्भूत केलेल्या आहेत. त्या वाचताना हेच जाणवते की देश कुठलाही असो; माणसाच्या भावना, वासना, विचार, विकार सर्वत्र सारखेच. त्यामुळे घडणारे गुन्हेही सर्वत्र सारखेच. पोलीसांना होणारे मनस्तापही सारखेच.
