Über dieses E-Book

Prologue

The city sleeps unaware.

Somewhere deep below its glittering surface, a deadly timer ticks. Twenty minutes. Twenty minutes till dawn.

If the countdown reaches zero, everything will change. Forever.

Chapter 1: The Warning

Evelyn’s phone buzzed again. She glanced at the screen: “20 minutes till dawn.”

She rubbed her eyes and stared out at the city skyline. The message was no joke. Last night’s warning, last week’s strange glitches in the grid—all pointed to something catastrophic.

Her fingers flew across the keyboard as she tried to hack into the city’s control system. The lights flickered.

Outside, the wind howled.

Time was running out.

Chapter 2: The Unknown Enemy

“Who sent you the message?” Agent Harris asked, gripping his badge.

Evelyn shook her head. “I don’t know. But if we don’t act fast, thousands will die.”

The clock in the interrogation room ticked louder than his voice.

Harris leaned forward. “What exactly happens at dawn?”

Evelyn swallowed. “A blackout. A city-wide shutdown. But it’s not just power… something worse.”

Chapter 3: Race Against Time

Evelyn and Harris teamed up. They stormed the city’s power plant, trying to find the source of the countdown.

“Five minutes left!” Harris shouted, breaking through a door.

Inside, a strange device pulsed ominously. Evelyn’s eyes widened.

“This is it,” she said. “We have to disable it.”

Her hands trembled as she worked to disarm the machine.

The clock counted down: 3... 2... 1...

Chapter 4: Dawn

Silence.

The countdown stopped.

The city’s lights flickered back on.

Evelyn exhaled, relief flooding through her.

But as the sun rose, she knew this was only the beginning.

Because somewhere in the shadows, the real enemy was still watching.
