CAROLE GERBER was the author of many picture books and chapter books and more than a hundred elementary reading and science books. A former teacher and journalist, she held a BS in English education and an MA in journalism from Ohio State University.
MICHAEL FLEMING has been drawing fantastic scenes on various surfaces since the age of three. His colorful work blends a love of nature with a dash of the mischievous. He is the illustrator of Twinky the Dinky Dog and Ten Eggs in a Nest and lives on the mysterious island of Alameda (in California) with his wife, two cats, and two dogs. Visit him at tweedlebop.com.
