Portia Welham lives in modern-day New York, but was born 200 years before on an island kingdom ruled by her father. Fighting a forbidden desire, she agrees to return, whereupon she's engaged to a prince who promises protection against a common enemy. But it might be too little too late to save the island. And she can no longer ignore what her heart wants.
