Sally Morgan is one of Australia's best-known Aboriginal artists and writers. Sally’s widely acclaimed first book, her memoir My Place, has sold over half a million copies in Australia. Her children's picture story books include Little Piggies and Hurry Up Oscar. She has collaborated with artist and illustrator Bronwyn Bancroft on several picture books including Dan's Grampa. Curly and the Fent was written by Sally in collaboration with her children Ambelin, Blaze and Ezekiel. Sally is a Professor at the Centre for Aboriginal Studies at the University of Western Australia and lives in Perth with her three children.
Ella Ferris is a Taribelang artist from Cairns, Queensland. She has trained for several years in ballet, commercial dance and theatre with the Australian Ballet School, Patrick Studios Australia and the Victorian College of the Arts respectively. From her time at VCA she appeared on stage in productions of Twelfth Night, Machinal, Gaban and The Spook. In 2022, she was an understudy and dancer in The Wiggles Big Show Arena Tour and played Evonne Goolagong in the Sunshine Supergirl national tour.
