Love in the time of sand

In a small oasis of palm trees and an infinite horizon of sand dunes, a father tells his son they must go on a long journey to find his soul mate, who will become the special one in this world that will love and nurture him.

Of course the young boy has no interest in such future events as a wife and soul mate, however he has misunderstood his father completely.
