Only God has the perfect perspective on every event, every circumstance. Our perspective will always be limited by the very fact that we are finite. Eugene H. Peterson is a pastor, scholar, poet and writer, author of more than twenty books, including The Contemplative Pastor. He founded Christ Our King Presbyterian Church in BelAir, Maryland, and has been a pastor at that church for 29 years. He is Professor Emeritus of Spiritual Theology at Regent College in Vancouver, B.C., and lives with his wife, Jan, in Montana. They have three children and six grandchildren.
