Dr Liz Byrski AM is a novelist, non-fiction writer, former journalist and ABC broadcaster, with more than fifty years of experience in the British and Australian media. She is the author of numerous bestselling novels, including Gang of Four and A Month of Sundays, as well as more than a dozen non-fiction books. In 2025 Byrski was awarded the Australian Medal for 'significant service to tertiary education and to literature'. She lives in Melbourne, Australia, and has two sons and twin grandsons.
Marie-Louise Walker has worked extensively in Australian television, film and theatre. She trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and has appeared in stage productions in both the UK and Australia. Her work includes roles in popular outdoor productions including Romeo and Juliet, Alice in Wonderland and Macbeth. Her television work includes roles in The Saddle Club, Blue Heelers, Water Rats and Ocean Girl and she has loved giving voice to books for over 12 years now.
