About this audiobook

Some loves feel like forever, while others are destined for an eternity.

Before they were lovers fighting for their lives on the battlefield, Eli and Talia were two individuals striving to reach the pinnacle of their physical skills. Now, they find themselves entangled in a fate woven by Onmai, the Sage Ruler of Zodia. But Onmai has plans beyond their martial prowess—she yearns to see love blossom amidst the fire-filled training yard where these warriors clash.

Talia, determined to forge her own path, tries to resist the sage's meddling in matters of the heart. However, Eli, driven by an unwavering connection, pursues a deeper bond that transcends the physical realm. As their desires intertwine, a question lingers: Will the nefarious Ida, Talia's nemesis, succeed in driving a wedge between them, or will fate prevail, uniting them in both love and war?

Head Rush is a prequel side story within the Prophecy Trilogy, featuring the beloved cast as much younger characters. Readers of YA-style romantasy and character backstories will enjoy this novella.

Actual Rating: 2.5☆ Head Rush is a prequel novella in the Prophecy Series. It's a lighthearted romantasy with a fated love trope between two warriors. Talia and Eli are determined warriors fighting for a seat beside Onmai, the Sage Ruler of Zodia. They are fated to be together unless Talia's rival Ida has anything to say about it. I have the first book of the Prophecy Series in my Kindle library which I do plan on reading. My opinion of this novella may change afterward. As it stands, the love story between Eli and Talia was cute. I may have missed something but I was confused about why Ida was so set on sabotaging Talia and Eli's relationship. Jealousy, probably. There was nothing that caught my attention, though. For me, a prequel novella should make me want to pick up the series immediately but this just didn't do it for me. fated love • novella • romantasy
