Samnite Wars: Historical Overview of the Conflict between the Romans and Samnites

The Samnite Wars represent one of ancient history's most significant yet underappreciated conflicts, a series of brutal struggles that determined whether Rome would emerge as the dominant power in Italy or remain merely one city-state among many.
