I was looking for a story that would be scary, perhaps with supernatural tones. The beginning was a bit long, even slow at times. But, the story became more and more gripping, and definitely spooky, with a sense of otherworldly possibilities, definitely causing me to feel like something was about to jump out and terrorise the characters! Unable to put the book down, I found myself completely caught off guard when the storyline twisted, completely throwing me off balance towards the end
