Hi, I’m Jaco Bietje, a hands-on technician turned entrepreneur and now, an author. I’ve spent years working in the trenches, fixing, building, and problem-solving before making the leap to start my own maintenance business. My journey hasn’t been easy, but through hard work, resilience, and a never-give-up attitude, I built a company from the ground up.

Writing Maintain It: The Handyman’s Guide to Building a Successful Maintenance Company wasn’t just about sharing my story it was about helping others who are trying to break into the business world with their own two hands. I know what it’s like to struggle, to wonder where the next job will come from, and to feel overwhelmed by the business side of things. That’s why my book is practical, real, and straight to the point no corporate nonsense, just honest advice from someone who’s been there.

I believe that success in business (and life) comes down to three things:
