About this audiobook

Imogen Duffy is an up-and-coming Irish jump jockey making her mark in steeplechase racing. But not all is well in Imogen's life. Jealous of her success, Imogen's controlling boyfriend Liam is stalking her, and when she tries to break it off with him, he turns violent. Fleeing to England, Imogen hopes to leave Liam behind. But Liam vehemently refuses to let her go – until he's found dead, stabbed with a knife bearing Imogen's fingerprints. Imogen's father, convinced of her innocence, seeks out Sid Halley to ask for his help uncovering the truth, and Sid reluctantly agrees to investigate. The case becomes all too personal soon after, when Sid realises he is being stalked and threatened – is it the killer? With his life and reputation on the line, Sid races to solve the case before someone else ends up dead.

About the author

Born in 1953, Felix studied physics and electronics at London University and then embarked on a 17-year career teaching advanced level physics. Felix is the youngest son of Dick Francis, who was acclaimed as one of the greatest thriller writers in the world. Felix had assisted Dick with both the research and the writing of many of his novels over the past 40 years, and when Dick died, he wanted his legacy to live on through his son. Felix has taken over the literary reigns from his father and has since written 11 successful Dick Francis books.

Martin Jarvis, OBE, is an English actor and voice performer. He has had a distinguished career in just about every aspect of the entertainment industry: film, television, theatre, radio and audio recording. He is also the author of two bestselling books: Acting Strangely, a hilarious autobiography, and Broadway, Jeeves?: The Diary of a Theatrical Adventure, a compelling account of his award-winning time on Broadway in 2001.

Anna Burnett began her acting career as a teenager, appearing in Burnt by the Sun and Men Should Weep, both at the National Theatre. Since then she has worked extensively in film and television, including as a series regular on the BBC drama Ripper Street. Also a voracious narrator, her audiobook credits include The Secrets of Rochester Place by Iris Costello and The Illusions by Liz Hyder. With a degree in English Literature from King’s College London, Anna is passionate about bringing the written word to life.
